Nyerere National Park

Nyerere National Park, formerly Selous Game Reserve, is one of Africa’s largest parks, located in southern Tanzania. It spans 30,000 square kilometers and is known for its diverse landscapes, including savannah, forests, and the Rufiji River. The park is home to elephants, lions, wild dogs, giraffes, and hippos. Famous for boat safaris along the river and less crowded than other Tanzanian parks, it offers a more exclusive safari experience. Nyerere is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an important conservation area.
