DAY 1: Arrival in Tanzania & Transfer to Serengeti National Park

Fly into the Serengeti and first game drive. Your adventure begins with a short scenic flight into the Serengeti, landing right in the heart of the park.

From the moment you arrive, you step into a wildlife wonderland. After settling into your lodge or safari camp, you head out on your first game drive. Even on the first afternoon, you might see zebras grazing, wildebeest moving in herds, and lions resting in the grass. The calving season is in full swing, so the plains are alive with energy, and your guide explains all the action of newborn wildebeest and the predators that follow.

In the evening return to your accommodation for a hearty dinner, and a peaceful overnight.

DAY 2: Full Day Serengeti Calving Season Safari

Wake up early and enjoy breakfast with the sunrise painting the plains in golden light. Today is a full day of safari adventures in the heart of the calving areas.

Drive across Serengeti’s wide-open plains to watch thousands of wildebeest calves taking their first steps. Lions, cheetahs, and hyenas follow closely, creating the drama of nature that makes this season so special. Stop mid-day for a picnic lunch in the park, surrounded by wildlife and stunning scenery. In the afternoon, continue your game drive, spotting elephants grazing, giraffes moving gracefully, and birds filling the sky with color. Return to your lodge /camp in the evening for a hearty dinner and another overnight stay.

DAY 3: Sunrise and Sunset Serengeti Safari

Start the day before sunrise with a morning game drive, when predators are most active and the light makes everything magical. Watch herds of zebras and wildebeest move across the plains while birds sing and the air feels fresh and crisp. Take a break mid-day for a relaxed lunch at your lodge or camp, then head back out in the afternoon for more wildlife spotting. Elephants, giraffes, and even smaller animals like warthogs and monkeys add to the variety, while the drama of the calving season continues. The day ends with a beautiful sunset over the plains.

DAY 4: Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater & Crater Safari

Enjoy breakfast before leaving the Serengeti and driving toward the Ngorongoro Crater. On the way, stop at scenic viewpoints to admire Tanzania’s rolling landscapes and take photographs. Descend into the crater for a full day of wildlife spotting in this unique natural bowl. Lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, rhinos, and many other animals share the craters fertile lands, making it a perfect spot to witness wildlife in action. Have a picnic lunch surrounded by incredible views and animals roaming nearby. After a full day of game drives, head to your lodge on the crater rim or Karatu for a relaxing dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 5: Departure Day

Karatu Town to Kilimanjaro International Airport

Wake up early for breakfast, then take a last short game drive around the Ngorongoro rim or nearby areas to catch any animals you might have missed.

Enjoy the peaceful morning light over the crater and take in the unforgettable scenery one last time.

Return to your lodge to pack, enjoy a light snack, and prepare for your departure. Depending on your plans, you may drive or take a flight back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro, carrying memories of newborn wildebeest, hunting predators, and the breathtaking landscapes of Tanzania’s Serengeti and Ngorongoro.
